Each week, CrossFit empowers up to four affiliates to simultaneously announce the workout with athletes in multiple countries and languages.
Our friends at Morning Chalk Up will be doing a pre-show with Justin LoFranco and Armen Hammer in Dublin, starting at 4 PM Pacitic.
Participating Countries
CrossFit and its affiliates make participating countries available the Wednesday before the event. With that information, check back here for updates as they come through.
Miami, Florida
Mat Fraser and Tia-Clair Toomey have posted via Instagram that they will be going head-to-head in Miami for the CrossFit Open 19.5 Announcement.
The posts went out early in the afternoon on Saturday. Fraser and Toomey are the reigning fittest-on-earth 2019 CrossFit Games champions.
**Update March 20th: athletes have been expanded to include Brenda Castro and Lea Schmidt.
Dublin, Ireland
Early reports from unconfirmed event sites state CrossFit Bua of Santry will host one of the 19.5 Open announcements. This appears to be in partnership with the creators of the Filthy 150 CrossFit sanctional event. Attending athletes look to include Travis Williams and Sean Sweeney, the CrossFit Cowboy.
Sydney, Australia
An announcement will take place in Sydney, Australia. It will be hosted by CrossFit Ethos and the Down Under CrossFit Championship. Featured athletes will be Khan Porter and Jessica Coughlan.
Antwerp, Belgium
Hosted by the CrossFit French Throwdown and CrossFit Silvius Brabo in Belgium, this event will feature athletes Lukas Esslinger, Jonne Koski, Carole Castellani, and Siri Rohmesmo.
