Open 19.5: Mat Fraser Wins Workout Announcement

The announcement event was hosted by Loud and Live Sports, the organization running the Wodapalooza CrossFit Festival.

How’d They Do With Open 19.5?

Fraser and Toomey looked in-sync, as their breaks and strategies were very similar. Both athletes moved to Cookeville, Tennessee in 2018 and are frequently working with four-time individual champion Rich Froning.

“I’m going to go out on a limb and say Mat Fraser is one of the best at Thrusters in the world,” commentator Tommy Marquez said in the broadcast. “But they’ve been almost identical in their paths.”

Time Results

In the workout, Fraser clocked in a finish at 6 minutes and 53 seconds. Toomey followed closely with 7 minutes and 48 seconds.
