Mat Fraser: Four-Time CrossFit Games Champion

Since his first competitive CrossFit appearance and a fifth-place finish 2013 North East Regional, Mat Fraser has waged a near-perfectly dominant performance.

From his status as the 2014 Rookie of the Year, to the heir-apparent as the king of CrossFit, Fraser is one ‘Fittest on Earth’ win away from tying Rich Froning with four-straight titles.

Young and healthy, Mat years of competitive fitness ahead of him. Aerobic Capacity founder and coach Chris Hinshaw notes Fraser is the most focused athlete in the sport. His focus over the years on mindset, in addition to his training, indicates his legendary career is far from over.

CrossFit Career

In 2013, Fraser competed in his first CrossFit Open, placing 192nd and qualifying for the North East regional event.

Fraser has place first in three CrossFit Opens and seventh twice. His second-place finish at the 2014 CrossFit Games earned him the Rookie of the Year award, along with the pressure of replacing the four-time champion Rich Froning, who would retire from individual competitions that year.

Fraser was edged out from the title of Fittest Man on Earth again in 2015 by long-time veteran Ben Smith. Since then, Fraser has won three back-to-back CrossFit Games titles.
