Anna Fragkou is a CrossFit Games athlete at the national champion of Greece. Fragkou has three top-100 finishes in the CrossFit Open but was unable to qualify for the CrossFit Games until 2019. That year, Anna competed at the Dubai CrossFit Championship and the Reykjavik CrossFit Championship.
Her disappointing 714th-place finish in the CrossFit Open led to redemption at the 2019 CrossFit Games. Fragkou was the sole National Champion (outside of the CrossFit Open top-20) to survive all cuts at the Games. Her final finish of 9th in the world was a phenomenal performance.
UPDATE January 29, 2020: Unfortunately, Fragkou failed a test for performance enhancing drugs and has since been stripped of her finish in the 2019 CrossFit Games.
